On March 28, the “qdc Emperor Series Dual Flagship Listening Event” was successfully held at the Leiyin Audio retail store. The event featured listening sessions and demonstrations of two models from the qdc Emperor Series, attracting the attention and attendance of numerous music enthusiasts and audiophiles eager to experience the allure of flagship-level sound.

Two headphone models were showcased at the event: the CRAVE and the EMPEROR.

Among them, the CRAVE—qdc’s flagship model released to mark the brand’s 10th anniversary—features qdc’s proprietary custom balanced armature drivers. It boasts a luxurious configuration of one dynamic driver, ten balanced armature drivers, and four electrostatic drivers per ear, along with a dedicated upgrade to the midrange drivers. This results in more natural vocals and more refined string sounds, delivering a precise and authentic reproduction, offering a listening experience that is both engaging and sophisticated. True to its name, “CRAVE,” it leaves listeners captivated and eager to keep listening.

The other model, the EMPEROR, features a 15-driver, three-way design. It also boasts a classic configuration of 1 dynamic driver, 10 balanced armature drivers, and 4 electrostatic drivers per side. Utilizing a five-way crossover design, it provides five independent channels, delivering clearer vocals and a more impactful bass response. At the same time, the mid-to-high frequencies transition smoothly, creating a vast soundstage with a harmonious overall sound signature and clear, precise layering.

Together, these two headphones treated attendees to a feast for the ears. The response from audiophiles at the event was enthusiastic, and the atmosphere reached its peak amid exclamations of admiration and lively discussions.
